This will be Cirencester’s second visit of the season to the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium as we met them in the First Round of the Southern League Cup, that game ending in a 1-1 draw before we went through on penalties. Tomorrow will also remarkably be the fourth time that we have met this season because as well as the League game at the Corinium Stadium we went there for a Second Qualifying Round FA Cup game. Both those games in Gloucestershire ended in comfortable wins for ourselves.
Overall, it has been a very difficult season for Cirencester. They are currently one from bottom of the table albeit they are very much in touch with the teams above them and have everything to play for as they attempt to climb out of the bottom four places, which is very likely to make it a very difficult game tomorrow afternoon. And they went down only narrowly 2-1 away to play-off chasing Hitchin Town on Monday evening, a late penalty denying the Gloucestershire side what would have been a very useful point in their survival quest.
As for ourselves our late winner, albeit a fully deserved one, against St Ives Town two weeks ago was followed by a battling second half performance in the mud at Frome Town last Saturday to hold onto a half time lead to earn another three points.
Supporters may notice some professional looking guys with video cameras at tomorrow’s game. No, our videographer has not got some new equipment but a production company working on a reality TV programme on non-league football for broadcast on Sky will be doing some filming, as they will be doing at a number of other on-league grounds over coming weeks.
Tomorrow’s match is sponsored by Work Area Ltd. Banbury United are grateful for their support.

Entrance is via Swan Close Road and car park is at the bottom on the right, it is free to park there, thanks to Chiltern Railways. Post Code for the Chiltern Railways Car Park is OX16 5TB.
