Friday saw Banbury United Girls Phoenixes U12 celebrate a successful year with their awards evening at the Banbury Bowl.

There was plenty to acknowledge and the girls were presented with trophies from their past 2 mini seasons .

D league, won 5 games out of 7, conceding 6 goals and scoring 21. Runners up in the league narrowly missing out on top spot by 2 points.

C league, won 6 out of the 7 games played, conceding just 5 goals and scoring 19. The performance in C league after being promoted was incredible and won the division outright by 4 points! Banbury’s own Ava D picking up top goal scorer across the leagues, too!

The Phoenixes will start next season in OGFL B League and expect a tough campaign ahead but are relishing the challenge of playing in a higher division.

There were individual awards handed out too, with the following girls picking up trophies:

Clubman Award - Ava C

Most Improved - Darcey Mc

Supporters Player - Kiki O

Managers Player - Ava D

Players Player - Amelia G
