Biggleswade Town are now in their fifth season in the Southern League Premier Division and have firmly established themselves at this level. Last season was particularly impressive with a seventh place finish and though they will not be replicating that this time around, they look set for a comfortable mid-table finish, highly commendable bearing in mind they have the second lowest average home attendance in the Division.

We visited Biggleswade’s Langford Road ground earlier this season on the Saturday before Christmas and it took a very late headed goal from Luke Carnell to “get us out of jail” and earn us a point in a 1-1 draw.

As for ourselves, it was a huge disappointment to lose both of our fixtures over the Easter Weekend to waterlogged pitches. It is remarkable that just a few weeks ago we were right up to date with our fixtures and no one had played more games than ourselves. Now we face a hectic final three weeks to the season.

This will provide a quick getaway after the game, avoiding the problems of getting out of Station Approach and help ease possible parking congestion at the ground. Entrance is via Swan Close Road and car park is at the bottom on the right, it is free to park there, thanks to Chiltern Railways. Post Code for the Chiltern Railways Car Park is OX16 5TB. Turn right out of car park, through the bollards and turn right down Station Approach – ground is 300 yards on the right.
