Banbury United have completed the loan signing of Wycombe Wanderers midfielder Christie Ward. He joins currently loanee, defender Luca Woodhouse, whose loan has been extended from today until the end of the season.

20-year-old Ward has played twice for the Wanderers this season, with both appearances coming in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, helping Wycombe on their way to the final of the competition.

Ward made his EFL League One debut last season, coming on as a second half substitute against Ipswich Town in April 2023. He went on to make two more appearances in the league in the same month, coming on as a substitute against Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham Town.

The midfielder, who has played in several positions in the final third in his career, joined the Chairboys from Brockenhurst as an 18-year-old, and has had spells out on loan at Hungerford Town and Slough Town, before joining up with Banbury.
