A couple of weeks ago, Board Director, Natalie Brown, attended the Global Sporting Directors Conference at Chelsea FC. Attracting participants from around the world, the gathering was about sharing knowledge from a variety of speakers, with topics ranging from sourcing players and player profiling to insights into the women who are paving the way in sport and the growth of the women’s game.
The networking opportunity was fantastic and Natalie made contacts, among others, with newly promoted Beerschot FC from Belgium, Charlotte FC in North Carolina and the Head of Race Equality & Inclusion at the Premier League. All want to keep in touch with Banbury United and have offered their help where we need it.
Natalie said: “We may turn a few heads as a non-league club attending such high profile events but we’re an ambitious team and hungry to learn from others, on behalf of the Club and our partners. My aim is to try and shine a light on Banbury United and what we’re doing. Not just on the pitch but off the pitch as well.”
