Banbury United FC were pleased to be able to host Keith Curle, staff and players of Hartlepool United FC to utilise our facilities for a short training session and refreshments prior to heading to our capital city London for their fixture at AFC Wimbledon.

Club Chairman, Ronnie Johnson said "As a Community and welcoming club being able to assist a league club in preparation for a game was our pleasure and we were presented with a signed shirt and football from their secretary, Ray Murphy as a token of their gratitude, along with hire fee for our funds. I had a chance to talk " everything football " with manager Keith Curle prior to team coach arriving and it was both interesting and informative. To be honest he probably thought will this guy stop talking lol, all in all an enjoyable couple of hours and hopefully we have made some more friends from the North East of the country. We Are United!"
