The Club is delighted to announce that Aidan Elliott-Wheeler will join Banbury United on work experience terms from Oxford United for a minimum one month loan. The news will be the icing on the cake for Banbury United fans as the rebuilt team takes shape ahead of tomorrow’s league opening game against Spennymoor Town at home.
17 year-old forward Elliott-Wheeler rapidly became a fans favourite after joining the Club on loan in March last season, impressing with his fearless tenacity on the ball. His deflected effort sealed three points with 10 minutes to go away at Southport in what some may describe as a season-defining moment and he scored in Banbury’s final match of the season at Scarborough.
Aidan says: “I’m delighted to be back here. Of course there have been lots of changes since the end of last season but after seeing the side the gaffer has started to build I’m delighted to be a part of the squad for this year. I’m looking forward to seeing what this season holds for us and can’t wait to be back playing in front of the Town End again.”
Aidan, it is great to have you back!
