A History of Banbury Spencer Football Club has been written by local historian Brian Little and current Banbury United programme editor and website manager David Shadbolt.
Note this is not a records and statistics book, albeit every league table for the club's existence as Spencer is included, but a look at the key events in the history of the Spencer club in chronological order from its formation to it evolving into Banbury United.
The book will be available to purchase at the Spencer Stadium for United’s home game against Poole Town on Saturday 23rd November. The co-authors will be on hand to sign copies if so desired.
There will be another opportunity to obtain copies and get them signed with a launch in the town centre at Waterstones in the Castle Quay Centre, Banbury on Saturday 30th November between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
The books will also be available in WH Smith in Banbury, the Banbury Museum and Books & Ink in White Lion Walk from around the beginning of December.
Copies are also available by post – details below
Supporters should note that as the Football Club is a retail outlet for selling the book then copies purchased at the Poole game or subsequently from the Club, from the Club Shop or through the post via co-author David Shadbolt will earn money for the Club.
