The club can confirm that defender Kynan Isaac has returned for a third spell with the Puritans

The 26 year-old is now playing regularly in the left back position though in his previous two spells at United he played primarily as a wide midfielder or up front.

Kynan was with Reading Football Club as a youth player before he joined Oxford City in February 2011 after being released by the Royals. He played a key part in the Oxford City Nomads side which won the Hellenic League Championship in season 2011/12 and made a number of appearances for the City first team. He made his Conference North debut for City in season 2012/13 season but was released by them at the end of September 2012 whereupon he joined Banbury United.

Kynan made 77 appearances for the Puritans and scored 27 goals prior to earning a one year deal with League Two side Luton Town in the summer of 2014. In his year at Kenilworth Road he played for the Hatters development side and had a three month loan spell with Conference North side Oxford City and then a month on loan with Hemel Hempstead Town prior to re-joining Banbury United on loan from in February 2015, making a further 16 appearances for the club, scoring one more goal through to the end of that season.

After leaving Luton, Kynan played for Oxford City, Brackley Town and Aylesbury FC prior to joining Stratford Town in the summer of 2018, making 40 appearances for the Warwickshire last season and helping them reach the Southern League Premier Central Division play-offs. This season he has been playing for North Leigh.

Manager Mike Ford commented “Kynan is someone I first worked with at Oxford City when they were promoted in 2012. He has added maturity to his undoubted talent and is a player who has real ability to make us a stronger team.”

Kynan on his return to Banbury said “I know that both the club and I have come a long way and developed positively since my last spell here. I am looking forward to helping the team compete at the top end of the table.”
