One of the largest jackpots ever in the Banbury United Community Lottery has been shared by two lucky winners.
Sally Parker was one of two lucky entrants who shared a massive £3,651.32 to pocket £1,825.66 each. £270 was allocated to the Save The Horton fund.
The quadruple rollover was finally won on 20th October 2023 at the public draw at The White Horse in North Bar.
Sally, who is now in her 80s, is a lifelong Banbury United supporter and remembers going to the match with her uncle as a child, when United were known as Banbury Spencer. She was delighted with her win and has done the lottery since it started. Her lucky numbers 6, 13 and 18 are the birth dates of her three sons who maybe might want a share of her good fortune.
Sally is not yet sure how she’ll use the money but one thing she does know is that she won’t have to worry about her heating bills this winter.
Well done Sally and keep warm!
Tomorrow’s prize will be over £550 and the draw will be at the Banbury Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) club on Broad Street, Banbury, to acknowledge the service of those who have died in all conflicts since the First World War. Good luck everyone!
