Banbury United

Banbury come into this game still looking for their first win since January and they hope that the third home game in a week can provide the valuable three points.

The Puritans hosted relegation contenders Southport on Saturday yet it was the team from Merseyside that took home all three points. A long kick from the ‘keeper Renshaw was flicked on to Markus Carver who slotted the ball under Harding, grabbing his 11th league goal of the season.

Ahead of Tuesday’s clash, Banbury are without Aidan Elliott-Wheeler and Manny Maja, with the pair both sitting the second game of their two-game suspension. New signings Pa Sulay Njie and Nathaniel Opoku are available and will be looking for their first starts for the club after agreeing terms on Friday.

Boston United

Boston United are currently sat in seventh place with 59 points. The Pilgrims have collected 26 points in their last 15 games, making them the fourth most in-form team in the league.

Manager Ian Culverhouse has been rewarded with a contract extension following this upturn in form, giving Boston fans a rejuvenated hope that the good times are edging closer after they missed out on promotion at the final hurdle against York in the 21/22 season.

Boston United secured a resounding victory against Gloucester City on Saturday, with Kelsey Mooney scoring four goals and Jimmy Knowles netting a hat-trick. This marked the first time since 2002 that a United player scored four goals in a match and the first instance of two players scoring hat-tricks in the same game since 1967. The Pilgrims dominated the game, displaying strong offensive play and overcoming responses from Gloucester City. The final score was 7-3, with Knowles and Mooney making significant contributions.

Previous encounters

Banbury have had the most fortune in the three fixtures so far as the red and gold army have picked up two wins and a draw.

The most recent encounter came in October with Banbury United trailing at half time with a one goal deficit. The second half was one of the most memorable in Mark Jones’ reign as goals from Fleming, and Adi Yusuff led the 23 fans leaving the impressive Jakemans Community Stadium full of joy on a Tuesday night. The other two games saw a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 away win last season for Banbury as Jak Hickman goal was the difference.

Spectator Information

Our stadium layout has changed for this season. Away fans should now enter and exit the ground via the Town End turnstiles. This is the first available right turn as you approach the stadium. Security staff will direct you.

All home supporters should enter and exit via the turnstiles at the main entrance, through the car park, by the clubhouse.

Standing and seated areas are available, with cover, as well as toilets and refreshments in both areas.

Please ensure you leave plenty of time for parking and getting into the ground. There is very limited spectator parking at the ground. It is always available for those requiring accessible parking. Spectators also cannot park on Station Approach or on Tramway Road.

We advise spectators park in the nearby Banbury Railway Station car park off Station Approach, where, parking is just £1 in the evening, between 6.30pm and 2.30am the following day.

Parking also includes Banbury Station East Car Park the multi storey car park accessed via Merton Street, the other side of the railway. Although slightly further from the ground you will be able to depart quicker from this car park after the game than from Station Approach.
