United had a decent share of possession throughout the game but despite this rarely troubled the two goalkeepers that Slough used. Not a surprise result but United were far from disgraced, competing well against the league high-flyers.

United now embark on a string of four home league games, two games against teams below them in the table and two against mid-table sides. All games kick-off at the Spencer Stadium at 2.00pm.
