The lofty right back has been training as part of the squad throughout pre-season training and represented the Club as a triallist in our two friendlies. This Saturday he will join Yaw Ofosu and Nico Jones as the latest confirmed player in what is shaping up to be a formidable defence.

Eighteen-year-old Cartright lives in Brackley (although is keen to point out he’s never played for Brackley). He joins from Northampton Town Academy where he has spent the last eight years, with a brief loan spell at Rushden & Diamonds last season. Surprisingly, given his mature performances in a Banbury United shirt, the match against Racing Club Warwick was only Cartright’s third men’s match!
