Volunteer vacancy: Part-time Administration Assistant

Do you have some spare hours, a few afternoons a week to help us?

We have an excellent opportunity within the operations department of our busy, community-owned football club. The part-time volunteer Administration Assistant will support the Banbury United Ops team, and General Manager in particular, with interesting and varied administrative tasks, including supporting matchday operations.

Perhaps you are starting out and looking to build your experience in administration or the sports industry. Or perhaps you are retired and miss the buzz of an office or would like to put your time and skills towards something meaningful in your community.

We can be very flexible in terms of hours but suggest that this would suit someone who could work in the administration office at The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium, for two to three hours a day, three days per week. The role could also potentially be worked remotely for some of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receipts, expenses and invoices: Process all receipts, expenses and invoices to Finance. Make bank payments to suppliers.
  • Administration: Support with everyday administration within the club, all day-to-day documentation.
  • Emails: Handle various incoming queries and respond to emails as and when received.
  • Matchday support: Help with many of the behind-the-scenes arrangements of a matchday, co-ordinating with internal teams.

​​It’s essential that candidates have strong organisation, communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Our volunteer will be happy to work with their own laptop.
