Twenty Banbury United Youth teams competed on Saturdays and Sundays in the 2022-23 season, in the Witney Youth, Oxford Youth, Midland Junior Premier League (MJPL) and Junior Premier Leagues (JPL).
“A lot of great football was played this season based on the previous season’s plans with teams doing well and some winning their divisions. The highlight was a County Cup win for our U13s, who beat Clanfield to bring home our first County Cup win for five years!” said Dewain Clarke of Banbury United Youth.
“For next season, Banbury United Youth’s girls’ team has moved to the Banbury United Women’s section, where they will hopefully continue their rapid rise. And our U16 MJPL team graduates to become part of the main club as its new U18 development team,” continues Dewain.
For 2023/24, the youth section will welcome a new U7s team, which will play in the Witney League and a new U13 team playing in the MJPL. That will bring the total number of teams to 18, playing the 23/24 season in Witney Youth, Oxford Youth, Midland Junior Prem divisions.
